Shenzhen

Shenzhen is a city of sub-provincial administrative status in southern China's Guangdong province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong. Owing to China's economic liberalization under the policies of reformist leader Deng Xiaoping, the area became China's first—and ultimately most successful—Special Economic Zone.

The suicides were due to the terrible working conditions. This is well documented. No amount of whitewashing will change that fact.

Funny, this is fake news from long ago. Actually, the place has 13 suicides per 1,000,000 workers. The U.S average is 14 suicides per 100,000. Farmers saw assembly line work as 'work from heaven' in the last generation. It's the millennial generation who don't understand hard work and good work. Worh ethics have changed and assembly work not suited for this generation. It's ok. Robots will take their jobs and they will be useless whiny people complaining about everything.
